Seattle Green Earth Cleaning has been named one of Washington's Best Workplaces by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
We want to be clear about how that happened, because it matters.
We didn't apply for a plaque. We didn't write an essay about ourselves. This award is decided by the people who work here, through an anonymous employee survey. Every bit of this recognition came from our team saying, on their own and without us in the room, that this is a good place to work.
That's the only kind of award we'd want.

The cleaner who walks into your home is not a stranger passing through. Our team stays. They know your dog's name and which cabinet the good mugs live in. They know you like the throw blanket folded a particular way. That kind of care doesn't come from a training manual. It comes from people who are treated well enough to stick around long enough to learn your home.
We've always put our money there instead of into advertising. We don't run ads. We've grown almost entirely on what our clients tell their friends. What we would have spent on marketing goes into pay, training, and benefits for our team instead.
That isn't charity. It's the whole business model. Take care of the people doing the work, and the work takes care of itself.

What we're doing with it
Nothing flashy. We're going to keep doing the thing that got us here.
We'll keep paying well and keep investing in training. We'll keep listening when someone tells us something isn't working. Being named one of the best workplaces in the state isn't a finish line. It's a standard we now have to keep meeting, and we intend to.
